Senior UX Designer (AI)

Location: Toronto, Canada; hybrid work with onsite attendance required at the Toronto office on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Salary: $130,000–$160,000 CAD per year, plus variable compensation and short- and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Design mobile experiences for iOS and Android using native platform conventions and interaction patterns.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Research to shape roadmaps and translate ambiguous problems into clear product direction.
• Lead user research, usability testing, and rapid prototyping to validate assumptions and iterate on solutions.
• Connect information and interactions across product surfaces to create a coherent unified experience.
• Design trustworthy AI product experiences, including generative interfaces, agentic workflows, and adaptive surfaces.
• Extend the design system, build shared libraries, embed accessibility standards, and participate in design critiques.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product design experience with a portfolio showing strong visual design, interaction craft, and shipped products at scale.
• Experience designing AI-powered products or a strong perspective on thoughtful and responsible AI integration.
• Strong systems thinking across flows, patterns, mental models, and business logic.
• High visual design aptitude with polished, precise execution.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills when working with engineers, product managers, and executives.
• Proficiency in Figma, including component architecture, auto-layout, variables, and complex interaction prototyping.

Nice to have

• UX research experience or experience running discovery sprints and synthesizing qualitative insights.
• Familiarity with AI coding tools such as Claude Code.
• Experience in a fast-growing startup or design-led, product-driven organization.
• Experience with motion design and purposeful animation.
