Operations Supervisor (Waste Management)

What you will do

• Supervise collection activities across commercial, residential, roll-off, and container delivery or pickup operations.
• Lead drivers and helpers while implementing operational initiatives and supporting budget achievement.
• Manage safety and accident prevention programs, remove unsafe route conditions, and ensure equipment compliance.
• Resolve customer service issues, unusual requests, equipment breakdowns, and schedule changes.
• Set productivity goals, optimize routes, manage labor and disposal expenses, and improve fleet efficiency.
• Build employee engagement through communication, coaching, talent development, and advancement support.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of lead or supervisory experience.
• Ability to direct a large staff and build high-performance teams.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, critical-thinking, decision-making, and judgment skills.
• Process-oriented and results-oriented approach with a commitment to organizational success.
• Collaborative leadership style, creative thinking, and demonstrated ethical behavior.
