What you will do

• Manage receiving, inspection, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping activities.
• Plan daily distribution workflows, staffing, material usage, and processing schedules.
• Assign work, instruct employees, provide guidance, and maintain cross-training plans.
• Coordinate with Operations, Planning and Scheduling, Purchasing, Engineering, Maintenance, and other functions.
• Monitor safety, quality, delivery, inventory, productivity, and cost metrics, while maintaining required documentation.
• Establish and improve operating methods, procedures, housekeeping standards, and departmental efficiency.

Requirements

• Prior supervisory experience is required.
• At least two years of experience in a logistics environment is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience supervising warehouse, distribution, freight, or logistics operations.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, decision-making, and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with SAP, Kronos, or Workday is beneficial.

Nice to have

• Background in machining, planning, engineering, or quality.
• Experience leading or participating in Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives.
