Process Leader, Global Manufacturing Capacity

Location: Chaska, Minnesota, United States. Up to 20% travel.

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 annual salary, plus eligibility for bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Build and maintain end-to-end capacity models for complex, multi-step manufacturing lines.
• Partner with manufacturing engineering, operations, maintenance, quality, supply chain, and site teams to assess equipment, processes, bottlenecks, labor, yields, and operating constraints.
• Lead technical capacity reviews across production lines, value streams, sites, suppliers, and the global manufacturing network.
• Translate demand forecasts, product mix changes, transfers, and growth scenarios into equipment, labor, floor-space, tooling, and supplier capacity requirements.
• Perform what-if and sensitivity analyses and identify capacity gaps, mitigation plans, capital needs, and network risks.
• Standardize capacity-planning methods and communicate technical findings to S&OP stakeholders and senior leaders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field with 9+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 7+ years, or a Doctoral degree with 4+ years.
• Experience applying industrial engineering methods in complex manufacturing, including line balancing, process-flow analysis, bottleneck identification, utilization, cycle-time analysis, throughput, and labor and equipment capacity.
• Experience building capacity models for multi-step manufacturing processes.
• Ability to conduct detailed technical discussions with manufacturing and engineering teams and translate technical inputs into capacity assumptions.
• Experience with S&OP, IBP, long-range capacity planning, manufacturing strategy, or supply-chain planning.
• Experience with ERP and planning systems such as Oracle, SAP, Kinaxis, or Anaplan.

Nice to have

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in regulated, high-mix, or technically complex manufacturing, including diagnostics, medical devices, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, electronics, or precision manufacturing.
• Experience with supplier or OEM capacity, capital planning, manufacturing transfers, new product introductions, or process-improvement programs.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Theory of Constraints, simulation, discrete-event modeling, or statistical analysis.
• Experience collaborating across multiple sites, regions, and technical functions in a global organization.
