Production Control Manager (Automotive)

What you will do

• Lead salaried and hourly personnel in daily production control activities.
• Create level production plans and distribute monthly master schedules based on customer demand.
• Develop and monitor buffer stock levels, inventory records, and material planning periods.
• Coordinate production personnel, suppliers, customers, and plant management on material issues, shipping patterns, and delivery requirements.
• Support new product launches by ensuring timely delivery of prototype materials and customer products.
• Track production control, record integrity, freight cost, delivery performance, and continuous improvement metrics.

Requirements

• Formal ERP/MRP systems experience and knowledge of MRP processes.
• Experience with planning and scheduling, demand management, CUM management, inventory management, shipping, receiving, logistics, and materials systems.
• Working knowledge of operations, accounting, purchasing, and related production functions.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, mathematical, interpersonal, leadership, and time-management skills.
• Ability to make quick decisions, prioritize competing demands, and maintain customer focus in a dynamic environment.
• University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, with six years of suggested minimum experience.
