TL;DR
Supply Chain Manager (Manufacturing): Leading supply chain programs and materials-flow operations for a new electrical manufacturing plant with an accent on Lean Manufacturing, planning, capacity management, and supplier performance. Focus on optimizing production control, reducing waste and excess inventory, managing long-lead materials, and driving cross-functional improvements through data analysis and value stream mapping.
Location: 100% in-office in San Antonio, Texas, United States. The role will be based temporarily in Northeast San Antonio while the new manufacturing plant comes online, then permanently at Brooks, San Antonio.

What you will do
- Lead supply chain programs covering planning, scheduling, capacity management, production control, and schedule adherence.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing practices, including Kanban, pull systems, flow optimization, and value stream mapping.
- Manage demand planning, inventory levels, materials flow, and long-lead incoming materials.
- Develop supplier relationships and improve reliability, performance, cost control, and business continuity.
- Analyze supply chain data, identify risks and improvement opportunities, and track key performance indicators.
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, production, and engineering teams on cross-functional operational improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or a related field, or 10+ years of relevant experience.
- 5+ years of supply chain management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong expertise in Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, progressive materials management, point-of-use materials, and visual replenishment.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and data analytics tools such as Infor, SAP, or Oracle.
- Strong problem-solving, data-driven decision-making, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and support changing operational needs.
