TL;DR
Sales Consultant, Trauma (Orthopaedics): Developing surgeon and account relationships and driving trauma product sales across the Houston North territory with an accent on territory planning, surgical case coverage, and customer education. Focus on converting new accounts, supporting surgeons and operating-room personnel, managing competitive threats, and delivering sales objectives.

Location: Houston North territory, including Cypress, Tomball, and Kingwood; residence in or ability to relocate to the posted territory required.

What you will do

  • Prospect surgeons and healthcare accounts, qualify opportunities, and develop account-specific sales strategies.
  • Drive sales and achieve business-plan objectives across the assigned trauma product portfolio.
  • Present, demonstrate, and support the proper use of surgical products.
  • Build relationships with surgeons, operating-room personnel, buyers, and hospital staff.
  • Provide support during surgical cases and educate customers through in-services and workshops.
  • Manage territory inventory, promotional materials, competitive threats, and product mix.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of professional or related experience; alternatively, an associate degree or medical certification with 5 years of experience, 8 years of experience, or recent active military service with 3 years of experience.
  • Valid driver’s license issued in the United States.
  • Ability to work in a laboratory and operating-room environment and travel, including possible weekend or overnight travel.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, influencing, critical-thinking, problem-solving, prioritization, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently in complex reporting structures with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Functional knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, basic surgical knowledge, and experience with data analysis.

Nice to have

  • Technical product knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, protocols, and solutions.
  • Experience in account management, healthcare trends, market research, relationship building, and solutions selling.
