Critical Environments Operator IV (Data Center)

Location: New Albany, Ohio, United States; onsite in a 24/7/365 data center environment

What you will do

• Complete operations and maintenance tasks for assigned data center and non-data-center spaces under the direction of the Senior Facility Manager.
• Operate and maintain electrical, mechanical, and HVAC/R systems while preserving critical load reliability.
• Use CMMS to track maintenance work, labor hours, preventive maintenance orders, and reactive work tickets.
• Perform critical switching, lockout/tagout, and safe work-area setup for subcontractor and vendor activities.
• Respond to building system alarms, stabilize operations, minimize equipment damage, and support root cause analysis.
• Provide emergency corrective maintenance and support extended onsite hours when required.

Requirements

• Journeyman-level skills in electrical, mechanical, and HVAC/R disciplines.
• 5–7 years of experience in Tier 2, Tier 3, or Tier 4 data centers, operations and maintenance, or building engineering.
• Experience with work order control, computerized maintenance management systems, subcontractor and vendor coordination, capacity planning, and KPI reporting.
• Ability to use hand tools, test equipment, personal computers, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, decision-making, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work onsite 24/7/365 and adjust hours for emergencies, including extended onsite work.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the ITIL framework and service-level standards.
• Knowledge of Visio and AutoCAD.
