Associate General Counsel, Transactions (Quantum Computing)

Location: Remote in the US, or onsite/hybrid from one of hirify.global's US offices. Up to 20% travel.

Base salary: $188,000–$282,000 USD annually, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead drafting and negotiation of complex commercial, technology, development, partnership, supply chain, and government agreements.
• Build and scale the transactions legal function, including templates, negotiation standards, playbooks, processes, and risk frameworks.
• Partner with business teams and legal subject-matter experts to standardize the deal process and keep contract positions aligned with company objectives and legal obligations.
• Provide practical, commercially oriented legal guidance and education to business stakeholders.
• Manage a high-volume transactional workload and oversee workload allocation, prioritization, training, and quality of work performed by other transactional attorneys.
• Serve as a senior escalation point for complex or high-value transactions and drive matters to resolution.

Requirements

• J.D. and admission in good standing to at least one US state bar required.
• 10+ years of experience negotiating complex commercial contracts, including significant in-house experience.
• Experience handling complex technology and commercial transactions in a sophisticated corporate or law firm environment.
• Strong transactional judgment, business acumen, communication, negotiation, issue-spotting, and client-management skills.
• Ability to structure and improve legal functions, workflows, processes, and risk management while managing competing priorities.
• For US non-technical roles, candidates must be a US citizen or national, US permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee due to export-control requirements.
