Product Counsel (AI)

Location: Hybrid position based in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA

Salary: $225,000–$244,000 USD per year, plus eligibility for a 20% corporate bonus.

What you will do

• Advise product and technology leaders throughout the product lifecycle, from strategy and prioritization through launch.
• Provide legal guidance on AI-driven features, emerging technologies, intellectual property, open-source licensing, and product risks.
• Review product marketing materials and help align product claims, commitments, and contractual obligations with applicable laws.
• Negotiate SaaS, software, services, vendor, NDA, DPA, and BAA agreements with sales, finance, procurement, and other stakeholders.
• Support patent review and filing programs and help engineering manage related incentives.
• Improve legal workflows, contract templates, CRM and CLM processes using technology, automation, and AI-enabled tools.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school and admission to a state bar.
• At least 7 years of legal experience, including experience at a technology company or in a technology-focused law firm practice.
• Experience negotiating software and SaaS agreements.
• Strong knowledge of or interest in open-source licensing, intellectual property, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies.
• Excellent written, verbal, negotiation, documentation, presentation, analytical, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role based in King of Prussia, PA.
