Manufacturing Engineer Intern (Robotics)

Location: Teal Drones, Salt Lake City, Utah, United States. Primarily onsite in a manufacturing and laboratory environment.

What you will do

• Assist with developing and debugging test systems for hardware assembly testing and calibration.
• Support scripting and automation tasks using Python and Bash.
• Contribute to Git source control workflows, code reviews, and engineering discussions.
• Read and interpret electronic component datasheets.
• Gain exposure to build systems and cross-compiling concepts.
• Support changing manufacturing, testing, and fixture-related projects.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Coursework or project experience with Python and/or Linux.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new tools.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Must provide proof of U.S. citizenship or permanent residence for ITAR/EAR-restricted work and must not require sponsorship.
• Must successfully complete a post-offer background check.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with C/C++, especially embedded systems.
• Experience reading schematics or working with basic electronics.
• Exposure to oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, soldering, mechanical design, CNC, or fixture fabrication.
• Personal or academic projects involving hardware, robotics, or electronics.
