What you will do

• Collaborate with design teams to integrate vehicle data into full simulations of customer missions.
• Develop and use software tooling to optimize launch and orbital trajectories.
• Lead interdisciplinary design trade analyses for vehicle, mission trajectory, and concept of operations decisions.
• Define and maintain high-level vehicle and trajectory design requirements.
• Implement, maintain, and improve simulation and analysis software across multiple programming languages.
• Establish cross-functional collaboration across Vehicle Engineering.

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in engineering, computer science, physics, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant full-time experience solving complex problems from first principles.
• Direct experience with rocketry, space systems, or similarly complex hardware systems.
• Strong proficiency in high-level programming languages such as Python, Julia, or MATLAB, including complex simulation processes.
• Ability to own projects end to end and work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with launch vehicle trajectory design and optimization.
• Leadership experience on multidisciplinary engineering analysis projects.
• Prior startup experience.
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD, and dependency management.
