Production Supervisor (Robotics)

Location: On-site in Hayward or San Carlos, California; day shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with day or swing shift availability required.

Salary: $100,000–$130,000 per year plus equity.

Develops and manufactures humanoid robots designed to operate safely in homes and perform physical tasks.

What you will do

• Own daily and weekly production targets for humanoid robot builds while maintaining safety and quality.
• Lead and develop an accountable production team through training, cross-training, and performance management.
• Track throughput, yield, first-pass quality, on-time completion, retention, and team performance metrics.
• Reduce defects and rework through root-cause analysis, process control, and collaboration with Quality and Engineering.
• Maintain floor safety, enforce safety protocols, and build a culture of early issue escalation.
• Lead measurable quarterly improvements in cycle time, ergonomics, quality, or cost.

Requirements

• 3+ years of direct supervision of production or manufacturing teams in a hands-on, on-floor capacity.
• Proven ability to meet production targets while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Working fluency in production planning, quality systems, standard work, defect tracking, lockout/tagout, and PPE compliance.
• Structured problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate clearly with technicians, engineers, and leadership.
• Availability to work on-site in Hayward or San Carlos on a day or swing shift.

Nice to have

• Experience in low-volume, high-complexity manufacturing such as robotics, aerospace, medical devices, EVs, or advanced electromechanical assembly.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar continuous-improvement methods.
• Experience launching a product line or ramping a process from pilot to production.
• Familiarity with MES, ERP, or production-tracking systems.
• Experience training technicians and building cross-training plans or skills matrices.
