Material Handler - 12 Hour Day Shift

Location: McPherson, Kansas, United States; on-premise work required. The role follows a rotating day schedule, with day shifts from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Salary: $18.99–$31.65 per hour, with potential overtime, weekend, holiday, and other pay premiums.

What you will do

• Operate stand-up and reach forklifts, conveyors, cranes, hand carts, pallet jacks, power trucks, and other material-handling equipment.
• Perform material receiving, verification, storage, dispensing, inventory control, and shipping activities.
• Verify material identities, quantities, lot numbers, expiration dates, and storage locations.
• Follow procedures, batch records, work instructions, and electronic inventory documentation.
• Coordinate with production, finance, vendors, contractors, quality assurance, and other departments.
• Maintain safe, clean, accurate, and efficient warehouse operations while minimizing downtime during changeovers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience operating stand-up and reach forklifts.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and inventory reconciliations.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, adapt to changing conditions, and maintain strong attention to detail.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, twist, climb on equipment, and lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Permanent U.S. work authorization is required; U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, food sanitation, and blending operations.
• Experience with warehouse management systems, SAP, inventory control, and logistics.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with common AI tools and interest in using them to improve productivity.
