Civil Engineer / Project Manager (Land Development)

Salary: $130,000–$150,000 per year, based on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Develop, coordinate, and direct land development projects for a variety of clients.
• Manage complex projects from planning through completion while maintaining client relationships.
• Prepare project approaches, scopes, and fees.
• Present proposals, interview for projects, and select project teams.
• Determine major project design decisions in collaboration with clients.
• Lead and mentor project staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Professional Engineer registration in Virginia.
• Experience with the design, construction, and management of land development or municipal projects.
• Demonstrated client management experience and the ability to lead and mentor staff.
• Authorization to work for any U.S. employer without current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• At least 10 years of previous experience.
• Previous experience managing land development projects.
• Experience managing staff and serving as a technical mentor for junior staff.
• Membership in local, state, or national civil engineering societies or associations.
