Quality Engineering Technician (Automotive)

What you will do

• Perform dimensional and mechanical inspections and layouts for product development and validation.
• Maintain and develop PFMEA, control plans, process flows, and engineering change requests under engineering direction.
• Investigate customer concerns and production part quality issues with Engineering.
• Support continuous improvement activities using Shainin, 8D, and 5Y methods.
• Perform experiments, assist with statistical analysis, develop control charts, and support operator training.
• Initiate PPAP and prototype documentation, prepare appearance reports, support metrology and gage selection, and lead MRB efforts to reduce scrap and rework.

Requirements

• Associate degree preferred, or equivalent PM work experience.
• Two years of engineering experience or a manufacturing background in a PM environment.
• Experience operating handheld gages, CMMs, optical comparators, hardness testers, density scales, and part-specific gaging.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Plexus, and Minitab.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, presentation, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multitasking environment, with safety as a priority.
