Quality Engineer (Manufacturing)

Salary: $81,000–$121,000 per year

Manufactures energy and telecommunications cable systems, including underground and submarine power cables, construction and infrastructure cables, optical fibers, copper cables, and connectivity products.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain quality systems supporting plant quality objectives and external certifications.
• Evaluate process capability, sampling plans, quality metrics, and statistical trends.
• Lead testing, quality data reporting, corrective actions, and continuous improvement projects.
• Investigate customer product returns and coordinate responses with internal departments.
• Develop and qualify measurement and test equipment, including MSA activities.
• Support supplier audits, new processes, the laboratory, and internal auditing for the North American Quality Management System.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in quality.
• Experience leading testing, quality investigations, corrective actions, and compliance activities.
• Ability to work at the Taunton, Massachusetts manufacturing location.

Nice to have

• Lean/Six Sigma experience or certification.
• Quality systems auditing experience.
• ASQ Quality Engineer certification.
• Experience with wire and cable manufacturing or steel tubing metallurgy.
