Junior Legal Counsel (GDPR/Privacy)

Location: Hybrid, based at the Amsterdam HQ, Netherlands

What you will do

• Own key compliance topics, particularly GDPR and privacy, including processing registers, Data Processing Agreements, privacy-by-design advice, LIAs, DPIAs, data subject requests, and third-party risk assessments.
• Maintain and roll out internal policies and support legal awareness and training initiatives.
• Handle corporate housekeeping, including board and shareholder resolutions, powers of attorney, KvK filings, UBO registrations, corporate registers, signing, and notarial processes.
• Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements such as NDAs, services agreements, procurement agreements, and general terms and conditions.
• Optimise and standardise legal processes through templates, playbooks, contract management, and DocuSign workflows.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and provide input into relevant internal processes.

Requirements

• Master’s degree (LLM) in Dutch law, preferably focused on commercial, corporate, and/or privacy law, or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of relevant legal experience, with a maximum of 3 years of total relevant experience, gained in a law firm, in-house environment, traineeship, paralegal role, or substantive legal student position.
• Affinity with compliance and corporate law, with a basic understanding of corporate housekeeping.
• Fluency in English and Dutch, both written and spoken.
• Proactive, entrepreneurial, communicative, adaptable, and comfortable working with digital tools, technology, and AI.
