Senior Legal Counsel (SaaS/EMEA)

Location: United Kingdom; role based in the UK. Remote work is indicated for the role.

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex SaaS agreements, data processing addenda, security terms, partner frameworks, and cloud technology contracts.
• Advise EMEA sales teams on deal structures, negotiation tactics, customer disputes, and accelerated deal execution.
• Structure and expand channel partnerships with resellers, managed service providers, distributors, and global system integrators.
• Collaborate with privacy legal teams on GDPR, DORA, global privacy regimes, and commercial risk-tolerance strategies.
• Own and modernize SaaS templates, negotiation playbooks, and contract escalation workflows.
• Advise Marketing, Product, Finance, Contract Management, and other cross-functional partners on monetization and product-led growth.

Requirements

• Substantial experience drafting and negotiating complex SaaS commercial contracts, partner agreements, and cloud technology agreements.
• Qualified to practice law and in good standing with the relevant professional regulatory body in the jurisdiction of residence.
• Knowledge of revenue recognition, data privacy, artificial intelligence, security, and global compliance frameworks.
• Experience working directly with enterprise sales teams across the EMEA region.
• Ability to manage competing deliverables, prioritize under deadlines, set boundaries, and work independently.
• Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills across functions, regions, and executive levels.

Nice to have

• In-house legal experience and familiarity with consumption-based SaaS models.
• Experience with GSI and reseller agreements and advising marketing teams.
• Understanding of AI products, large language models, and product lifecycles.
• Privacy certifications such as CIPP/E or familiarity with the EU AI Act and DORA.
