Focus on acting as the formal DPO, embedding privacy and AI requirements into products and workflows, and translating complex regulations into practical controls for a cybersecurity SaaS company.
Location: Remote from France, Belgium, or Switzerland

What you will do
- Act as ’s formal Data Protection Officer and primary contact for supervisory authorities and data subjects.
- Design and operate the privacy program, including ROPAs, DPIAs, privacy by design, retention, data-subject rights, breach assessment, and international data transfers.
- Lead compliance controls for AI governance, NIS2, operational resilience, export controls, and economic sanctions.
- Maintain policies, risk mapping, monitoring plans, internal controls, and compliance reporting.
- Partner with Security, Product, Engineering, Sales, People, Finance, and executive stakeholders to embed regulatory requirements into products, vendor management, customer assurance, and commercial processes.
- Monitor regulatory developments across the EU, UK, US, and other relevant markets, providing recommendations to senior leadership.
Requirements
- 7–10 years of experience as a DPO, data privacy lead, or compliance officer, ideally in a fast-growing technology or SaaS company.
- Expert knowledge of data protection law and practice, including GDPR and UK GDPR.
- Experience implementing the EU AI Act across a company and ownership of at least two adjacent regulatory programs.
- Ability to translate complex legal and regulatory requirements into proportionate operational controls and lead unfamiliar workstreams with sound judgment.
- Strong stakeholder-management skills across technical, commercial, and executive functions.
- Comfort working in a remote, asynchronous environment and using AI-powered tools such as LLMs, automation, and copilots.
Nice to have
- Recognized DPO certification or IAPP qualification, such as CIPP/E.
- Experience in cybersecurity, threat intelligence, or a technical B2B SaaS environment.
- Fluency in English and French.
