Electrician (Construction)

Location: Southaven, Mississippi, with travel to construction sites in the United States; 80% or more travel on a construction rotation.

Hourly position with overtime; per diem and/or housing provided while on site.

What you will do

• Install, terminate, and land new 480 V electrical infrastructure, including breakers, transformers, switches, buswork, control systems, and batteries.
• Install conduit, cable tray, underground duct banks, cable, and wire according to construction drawings and work packages.
• Perform electrical quality checks, testing, acceptance testing, commissioning support, and documentation of test results and as-built markups.
• Read one-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, manuals, and work orders.
• Follow lockout/tagout, grounding, clearance, NFPA 70E, and PPE requirements on active construction sites.
• Support energization sequences, punch-list closeout, equipment turnover, vehicle and specialized equipment operation, and coordination with engineers and vendors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• Current state journeyman electrician license; Tennessee or Mississippi licensing is preferred, or an equivalent license with the ability to obtain one in Tennessee or Mississippi.
• At least 5 years of industrial or data center electrical construction experience with conduit, tray, duct bank, cable, and 480 V terminations.
• Proficiency with electrical test tools, including multimeters, meggers, and ammeters, as well as construction hand and power tools.
• Working knowledge of NFPA 70E and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Ability to travel 80% or more, work nights, weekends, and extended shifts, and perform physically demanding outdoor construction work.

Nice to have

• Tennessee or Mississippi journeyman electrician license.
• Industrial, manufacturing, or data center construction experience.
• Experience with large-scale, multi-site construction projects and travel rotations.
• OSHA 30 or equivalent construction safety training.
• Experience reading construction drawings, manuals, and one-lines.
