Sr Estimator C&I (Commercial and Industrial)

Location: Onsite in Henderson, Colorado, United States. Essential functions are performed at a company-designated office or field location.

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 per year, paid weekly and based on experience.

hirify.global subsidiary Sturgeon Electric provides large-scale electrical construction, transmission, commercial and industrial, renewable energy, telecommunications, traffic signalization, gas distribution, and high-voltage services across the western United States.

What you will do

• Prepare accurate estimates for complex commercial and industrial electrical construction projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, scopes, pre-bid requirements, and client submission documents.
• Develop pricing strategies covering alternates, value engineering, phasing, contingencies, labor productivity, and installation costs.
• Solicit and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes, direct scope breakdowns, and negotiate subcontractor strategies.
• Lead estimators in producing detailed takeoffs and oversee formal bid reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
• Define construction methodologies and execution strategies, support change orders, and collaborate with construction personnel throughout the project life cycle.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of electrical construction estimating experience.
• Knowledge of current local and national electrical codes, including the NEC.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documents.
• Knowledge of electrical materials and installation methods.
• Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, Accubid, and Bluebeam.
• Applicants must already be authorized to work in the United States for any employer; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Experience estimating multiple project types and overseeing team performance.
• Strong analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
