Estimator - Gas Power Generation (Energy Construction)

Location: Remote with up to 25% travel; valid independent U.S. work authorization required

What you will do

• Lead estimating for gas power generation construction proposals and ensure technical and RFP requirements are met.
• Review plans, drawings, specifications, vendor proposals, and subcontractor documentation to define project scope.
• Develop cost, labor, material, equipment, quantity take-off, and schedule estimates.
• Create project sequencing plans to determine crew sizes, resources, productivity, and construction methods.
• Issue RFPs, evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes, and identify commercially and technically responsible bidders.
• Research historical project data and prepare summary reports and bridging documents for future estimates.

Requirements

• A four-year degree in Construction, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least two years of progressive experience in gas-powered generation or at least four years of practical crew-based estimating experience in another construction industry.
• Experience reading engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts, and cost coding systems.
• Strong knowledge of construction estimating, cost control, and purchase and work scheduling.
• Proficiency with HCSS Heavy Bid and Microsoft Office.
• Valid, independent U.S. work authorization is required; H-1B visa and permanent residency sponsorship are not available.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Salesforce, Oracle, and Sisense.
• Experience in renewable energy.
