PLC Controls Electrician

What you will do

• Work with analog and digital AC/DC drive systems, calibrations, metrology, HMIs, and the National Electrical Code.
• Create, read, modify, and update electrical diagrams, PLC logic, process flow diagrams, instrument flow diagrams, and P&ID drawings.
• Use electrical tools, test equipment, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, meggers, and chart recorders in industrial plant applications.
• Improve manufacturing processes using Rockwell (Allen-Bradley) and Siemens control systems.
• Evaluate equipment and maintenance history to implement preventive maintenance and recommend predictive maintenance programs.
• Support equipment reliability, runtime, safety, and continuous improvement in the manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Associate degree in electrical or electronic studies from an accredited college, or at least five years of experience working with mechanical/electrical equipment and troubleshooting electrical circuits, drives, and PLCs.
• At least five years of industrial electrical experience in process instrumentation, control system technology, or related disciplines.
• Ability to understand electrical circuits and lay out work for new equipment installations, system upgrades, and modifications.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.
• Ability to work weekends, overtime, and rotating shifts.

Nice to have

• Experience with a computerized maintenance management system.
• Demonstrated proficiency in creating, reading, modifying, and updating electrical and process-control diagrams.
