Control Systems Engineer (PLC Specialist)

Location: Milpitas, California, United States; onsite role

Salary: $117,800–$172,800 annually

What you will do

• Design complex PLC logic, control-system schematics, I/O wiring, and HMI solutions.
• Design and tune PID control loops for temperature, motion, and process-feedback applications.
• Lead projects from requirements gathering and concept design through integration, commissioning, optimization, and manufacturing handoff.
• Perform testing and data analysis, prepare detailed drawings and design reviews, and procure prototype parts.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, systems, manufacturing, and supplier teams to integrate and validate subsystems.
• Develop assembly and test procedures, service manuals, and solutions to product issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
• Five years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, three years with a master’s degree, or no experience with a doctorate.
• PLC programming experience with Siemens, Allen-Bradley, OMRON, or similar platforms.
• Electrical circuit design experience using tools such as OrCAD, AutoCAD, PSpice, or Xilinx/Altera FPGA development systems.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, or similar analysis tools.
• Ability to work onsite in Milpitas, California, United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with FPGA technology, ARM or AVR microcontrollers, or DSPs.
• Project management experience.
