TL;DR
Sales Associate, CMF (Orthopaedics): Supporting surgeons and hospital customers with craniomaxillofacial products, procedures, equipment, and sales logistics across the Sacramento territory with an accent on clinical support, product utilization, and account relationships. Focus on guiding operating room cases, optimizing surgical trays, troubleshooting technical issues, and achieving territory sales objectives.

Location: Sacramento, California, United States; residence in or willingness to relocate to the posted territory required.

Compensation: 100% commission/incentive compensation with eligibility for a bi-weekly draw.

What you will do

  • Support sales growth, customer retention, product conversions, and market share objectives across the assigned territory.
  • Guide surgeons in the operating room by presenting, demonstrating, and supporting the proper use of surgical products.
  • Attend surgeries, verify equipment availability and performance, optimize instrument trays, and advise operating room and sterile processing teams.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, manage customer requests, hospital billing, and purchase orders.
  • Maintain surgeon and account relationships while sharing customer, procedural, and marketplace insights with sales, clinical, marketing, and strategic account teams.
  • Track and deploy equipment and assets, maintain product availability, and prepare sales reports and related documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or an associate degree/medical certification with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or at least 4 years of relevant experience; recently transitioned military personnel may also qualify.
  • Ability to work in a laboratory and operating room environment.
  • Valid driver’s license issued in the United States.
  • Ability to travel, including possible weekend and overnight travel.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, negotiation, influencing, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and business acumen skills.
  • Efficient, organized, self-motivated, positive, and proactive working style.

Nice to have

  • Technical product knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, protocols, and solutions.
  • Experience with account management, relationship building, healthcare trends, market knowledge, sales presentations, and solutions selling.
