Transmission Telecomm Planning Manager (Telecom)

Location: Alhambra, California, US; hybrid work mode with required residence in California. The role includes reporting to an SCE facility on set days, remote work on remaining days, and up to 25% travel throughout the SCE service territory.

Salary: $161,700–$242,600 per year

What you will do

• Lead a team responsible for planning and designing transmission telecommunications projects.
• Review and approve work orders, business plans, construction plans, and design deliverables for accuracy and compliance with safety and technical standards.
• Coordinate incoming projects, design resources, contract personnel, peer managers, and workload allocation.
• Manage employee performance, compensation, mentoring, training, development, and corrective actions.
• Monitor budgets, quality, cost efficiency, client responsiveness, and operational performance using Project Tracker, Power BI, and related reporting tools.
• Implement improved work processes, technology, and automation while maintaining project delivery.

Requirements

• Five or more years of combined experience performing or supervising electrical utility distribution, transmission, or telecommunications design or line construction.
• Valid Class C Driver’s License.
• Knowledge of construction, transmission design, and applicable G.O. 95/128/165/131E standards is preferred.
• Experience preparing and reviewing work orders or construction plans is preferred.
• Experience developing strategic plans for customer satisfaction, workflow, resource allocation, and department operations is preferred.
• Employees are required to work and reside in California unless otherwise noted.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, DM, GeoView, and Click Schedule.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, engineering, or a related field.
