Prin Project Manager (Transmission, Substation EPC)

Location: Hybrid position in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. Extended hours may be required during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.

Salary: $117,600–$161,700 per year, plus an annual bonus of up to 20% for eligible positions.

What you will do

• Manage complex transmission and substation projects and programs with budgets typically ranging from $1 million to $60 million.
• Lead cross-functional teams and contract resources through business case development, capital approval, planning, execution, and project closeout.
• Control project scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality, risks, changes, and financial performance.
• Coordinate design, engineering, procurement, environmental analysis, vegetation management, real estate, and regulatory activities.
• Manage relationships with customers, vendors, townships, governmental agencies, regulatory officials, and senior management.
• Present project status, costs, schedules, business cases, and executive-level updates while mentoring project team members.

Requirements

• For construction project management: bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field with 7–10 years of relevant experience, or 9–12 years of relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or the ability to obtain PMP certification within two years of joining.
• Demonstrated experience managing large, complex projects using planning and control, risk management, scheduling, resource balancing, cost monitoring, business case development, and progress reporting techniques.
• Transmission substation technical expertise, large EPC project management experience, and full-lifecycle utility project delivery experience.
• Leadership, stakeholder management, consensus-building, communication, and accountability skills, including 3–5 years of supervisory experience for manager roles.
• Valid driver's license and access to an automobile.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in engineering, an advanced technical degree, or a Master of Business Administration.
• Professional Engineer license.
• Experience in utility design, planning, construction, or information technology.
