Senior Director, Communications (Biotech)

Salary: $240,000–$330,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop and execute a proactive communications strategy focused on company strategy, priorities, business updates, and organizational alignment.
• Advise senior leaders and prepare executive communications, talking points, presentations, announcements, and other high-impact materials.
• Build and manage internal communications channels and rhythms, including town halls, newsletters, leadership updates, employee announcements, and editorial planning.
• Lead communications for organizational change and key initiatives while aligning internal and external messaging with People & Culture, Commercial, and Marketing.
• Oversee selected external corporate communications and PR activities, including press releases, corporate announcements, media relations, and corporate messaging.
• Measure communications effectiveness, improve plans using feedback and data, and lead one communications team member.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 18+ years of progressive experience in corporate, internal, or strategic communications.
• Experience in biotech or life sciences is preferred.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and messaging skills, including the ability to explain complex business and technical information clearly.
• Experience developing communications strategies and leading communications through growth and transformation.
• Strong judgment and professional maturity when handling sensitive or confidential information.
• Experience managing and developing communications professionals and building cross-functional alignment.
