Executive Communications Director (AI)

Location: Remote and based in the West Coast, USA. Approximately 25% travel is expected for customer and team meetings.

Salary: $171,120–$213,900 for selected states; $181,200–$226,500 for New York, New Jersey, Washington State, or California outside the San Francisco Bay Area; $201,280–$251,600 in the San Francisco Bay Area.

What you will do

• Develop and execute the annual executive communications strategy for the Chief Product & Technology Officer.
• Write keynotes, internal presentations, blogs, press materials, and social media content for the CPTO.
• Partner with Product Marketing and Corporate Communications to communicate Twilio’s innovation story through R&D leadership.
• Create thought leadership opportunities and content for company-wide meetings, R&D communications, and events.
• Lead communications for change management initiatives across the R&D organization.
• Build relationships with the management team, R&D leadership, Corporate Communications, Product Marketing, and other partners.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in communications, including at least 3 years in a dedicated executive communications role.
• 5+ years of experience in the technology industry.
• Strong executive presence, strategic communications advisory skills, writing, editing, storytelling, and business acumen.
• Experience collaborating across R&D, go-to-market, Marketing, HR, PR, and Internal Communications teams.
• Ability to synthesize complex topics such as AI, data, and product strategy into clear content for diverse audiences.
• Remote work must be based in the West Coast, USA.

Nice to have

• Experience writing for and advising CEOs, C-level executives, and SVPs.
• Experience with external thought leadership, including blogs, event keynotes, and social media.
• Experience creating slide decks for large-audience presentations.
