Lead, Continuous Improvement (Chemical Purification)

What you will do

• Lead projects that reduce process variation, improve process control, eliminate waste, and increase yield.
• Optimize chemical purification processes and implement a yield monitoring program.
• Drive cost savings initiatives and manage project timelines, resources, budgets, and reporting.
• Collaborate with operations, quality, product management, and facilities teams.
• Use statistical methods and SPC tools to identify trends, root causes, and corrective actions.
• Present findings to senior management and mentor team members on process optimization practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• At least 8 years of experience in process engineering or a lead engineering role, preferably in chemical purification or a related field.
• Proven experience with cost savings projects, project management, SPC, and yield monitoring systems.
• Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Minitab, Excel, or similar software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel less than 10% and work at the Decatur, Texas facility.

Nice to have

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.
• PMP certification.
