Corporate Counsel (Aerospace/Defense)

Location: Remote within the United States; applicants must be a U.S. Person eligible to obtain required export authorizations. The Legal department is based in Denver, Colorado.

Salary: $200,000–$225,000 USD annual base salary.

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate customer, supplier, teaming, NDA, licensing, and services agreements.
• Advise on corporate governance, entity formation, capitalization, reorganizations, financings, and strategic transactions.
• Partner with compliance and export control teams on government contracting and international trade requirements.
• Develop and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and internal legal guidance.
• Support post-acquisition integration by aligning legal entities, contracts, and compliance obligations.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and a license to practice law in the jurisdiction of residence or practice.
• 4+ years of experience in corporate, contracts, or transactional law, preferably in-house or in a combination of law firm and corporate environments.
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills with the ability to independently manage a high volume of agreements.
• Excellent judgment, business acumen, and communication skills for explaining complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
• Must be a U.S. Person: a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual under applicable U.S. law.
• Must be eligible to obtain required export authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or Department of Commerce.

Nice to have

• Experience with government contracting, ITAR/EAR export controls, or the aerospace and defense industry.
