Industrial Electrician (CNC/PLC)

Location: East Peoria, Illinois, United States; onsite at the East Peoria Undercarriage facility. Second shift: 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m., Monday–Friday. No relocation and no travel.

Salary: $37.67 per hour, plus a $1.00 per hour second-shift differential. A $5,000 retention bonus is paid in two $2,500 installments.

What you will do

• Build, install, repair, and troubleshoot electrical and electronic circuits used in machine tools and plant equipment.
• Test faulty equipment and diagnose malfunctions in electrical units and systems.
• Use oscilloscopes, signal generators, electronic counters, recorders, and other testing instruments.
• Calibrate and service electronic testing instruments.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex machine tools, relay-logic machines, and CNC/PLC-controlled equipment.
• Support the electrical aspects of new equipment installation.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old and work onsite in East Peoria, Illinois.
• Understand oral instructions and printed work orders to determine assignments, materials, and equipment needs.
• Demonstrate proficiency in electrical and electronic theory and applications related to plant operations and equipment.
• Have intermediate knowledge of interpreting schematics and electrical diagrams.
• Have three years of experience, or equivalent demonstrated proficiency, before performing intermediate electrical and electronic machinery tasks.
• Have two years of experience, or equivalent, before performing basic mechanical equipment installation or repair; successfully complete required Ramsay testing and pre-employment drug screening.
