Senior Software Engineer (Data Platform)

Location: United States; salary range covers various U.S. geographic markets and U.S. locations. Up to 10% travel may be required for onboarding, client or partner work, team meetings, and industry events.

What you will do

• Design, build, maintain, and operate mission-critical data and analytics infrastructure.
• Develop tooling, establish engineering best practices, and make technology choices for the Data Platform.
• Write technical design documents and high-quality production code.
• Design and operate large-scale distributed systems in AWS.
• Review engineering designs and code while providing technical mentorship.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering or a related discipline.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language, with Python used primarily on the platform.
• Experience with Terraform or a similar infrastructure-as-code tool, Linux, distributed systems, and cloud computing.
• Experience with OLTP and OLAP databases, high-volume data processing, and storage systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and continuous learning skills.
