Senior AI Engineer (Location AI)

Location: Remote or hybrid (Helsinki office available).

What you will do

• Define and build measurement and evaluation frameworks for non-deterministic AI systems.
• Develop data pipelines for ingestion, conflation, and entity resolution to keep large datasets current.
• Design feedback loops and model harnesses to improve product performance and reliability.
• Optimize systems for latency and cost, including streaming, caching, and model routing.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 system availability.
• Mentor team members through code and design reviews and share best practices in evaluation.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in STEM and 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of experience shipping LLM-backed features to production.
• Deep understanding of designing evaluations for non-deterministic systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python or TypeScript and data engineering depth (SQL, distributed processing).
• Experience diagnosing latency in distributed request paths.
• Clear written communication is essential as the company is distributed across time zones.

Nice to have

• Experience with geospatial data (routing, geocoding, OpenStreetMap).
• Background in public API or SDK design.
• Knowledge of voice pipelines (ASR, TTS) or automotive/infotainment systems.
• Experience building against MCP or similar tool transports.
