Project Engineer - MRB (Nightshift)

Location: Belfast, United Kingdom; fully on-site on a permanent night shift

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to an engineering team working on complex design problems.
• Own assigned projects and work packages, delivering technical milestones and outputs within agreed schedules and budgets.
• Support Material Review Board design activities across structures and systems installation during the night shift.
• Ensure components meet customer specifications, design authority requirements, and applicable airworthiness regulations.
• Conduct feasibility studies and investigate project extensions or new work packages.
• Coordinate with user departments, customers, suppliers, certification authorities, and cross-functional specialists.

Requirements

• BSc/BEng or equivalent in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant design engineering experience; alternatively, HNC/HND with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Applied knowledge of aircraft structures, systems installation, or a relevant aerospace design specialism.
• Working knowledge of CAA, EASA, FAA airworthiness requirements, engineering analysis methods, testing procedures, and standard engineering processes.
• Experience applying advanced engineering analysis and testing methods to complex aerostructures or systems design projects.
• Experience working with senior management, customers, suppliers, and certification authorities, with the ability to manage and motivate specialist engineering teams.
• BPSS and Export Control checks, including a criminal record check, are required.
