Location: Belfast, United Kingdom. Full-time, permanent position. The role is site-based and involves supporting manufacturing build activities.

What you will do
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and advice across design engineering activities.
- Lead specialist technical packages within aircraft structures and/or systems installation.
- Support the complete design-to-manufacturing lifecycle, from initial design and feasibility through shop-floor production.
- Ensure components meet customer specifications, Design Authority requirements, airworthiness standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage assigned projects or programmes, delivering technical commitments within agreed schedules and budgets.
- Coordinate complex engineering packages and feasibility studies with engineering specialists, customers, suppliers, and certification authorities.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering with at least 3 years of design engineering experience, or an HNC/HND in a relevant discipline with at least 5 years of experience.
- Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of aircraft structures and/or systems installation.
- Working knowledge of airworthiness regulations, including CAA, EASA, and FAA requirements, as well as analysis methods, testing procedures, and engineering processes.
- Experience managing, guiding, and advising engineering teams on specialist technical packages, including mentoring and supporting organisational change.
- Experience working with senior management, external customers, key suppliers, and certification authorities, supported by strong organisational and presentation skills.
- BPSS and Export Control checks are required, including a criminal record check.
