Senior Façade Engineer

What you will do

• Lead façade engineering projects from concept and feasibility through detailed design and construction.
• Produce façade detail drawings, design graphics, technical reports, and numerical analysis.
• Develop façade design proposals with architects, consultants, contractors, and other built-environment disciplines.
• Lead project teams of approximately two to three people, delegate technical work, and mentor engineers.
• Manage work plans, resources, budgets, deadlines, change control, and project reporting.
• Contribute to design reviews, quality assurance, research and development, bids, proposals, and client relationships.

Requirements

• Relevant undergraduate degree in façade engineering or a related discipline, plus at least four years of façade-related experience.
• Good written and verbal English, strong communication skills, and a collaborative approach.
• Good IT skills and willingness to develop knowledge of CAD software and façade technology.
• Ability to manage multiple submissions, prioritise workloads, and deliver accurate work to deadlines.
• Commitment to working toward Chartered Engineer status with a relevant façade engineering institution.
• Understanding of technical standards, health and safety, ethics, and sustainable design principles.

Nice to have

• Chartered Engineer status with a relevant institution.
• Experience in a consulting engineering practice.
• Experience with parametric modelling and associated software.
• Strong interest in engineering and the built environment.
