TL;DR
Clinic Coordinator (Oncology) (Epic/Healthcare Administration): Coordinating complex oncology appointments, patient communication, registration, and clinic-floor administrative operations with an accent on high-volume scheduling, patient service, and regulatory compliance. Focus on triaging requests, managing multi-disciplinary schedules, responding to emergencies, and maintaining accurate records across Epic and related systems.

Location: 450 Brookline Ave, Boston, MA; 100% onsite. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m.

Salary: $45,500–$54,400 per year

What you will do

  • Schedule complex, multidisciplinary oncology appointments and monitor scheduling reports for accuracy and resource utilization.
  • Perform patient check-in and check-out, triage calls and requests, verify patient identities, print paperwork, enter verbal orders, and coordinate complex schedules.
  • Communicate with patients, families, providers, leadership, and cross-functional teams while explaining complex information in patient-friendly terms.
  • Deliver customer service, de-escalate patient concerns, recognize emergencies, and follow standard response procedures.
  • Complete registration and information-release processes, including Patient Gateway enrollment, Mass HIway, MSPQ, MOLST, and release of patient information.
  • Use and troubleshoot Epic, RTLS, Outlook, and patient-use iPads while supporting system upgrades and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in a customer service setting preferred.
  • Proficiency with technology and complex computer systems required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, organization, multitasking, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing clinical environment and work effectively with patients and cross-functional teams.
  • Must work onsite in Boston, Monday–Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
