Sr Accounts Receivable & Collections Analyst, SRS (Life Sciences)

What you will do

• Own collection activity for an assigned business-to-business customer portfolio and prioritize accounts by aging, balance, risk, and payment history.
• Resolve complex payment disputes, short payments, deductions, unapplied cash, purchase order issues, pricing questions, and invoice discrepancies.
• Partner with Finance, Billing, Commercial, Project Management, Operations, and customers to remove payment barriers and prevent recurring issues.
• Improve collections practices through account segmentation, outreach cadences, escalation paths, dispute tracking, standard operating procedures, and Lean root-cause analysis.
• Prepare cash collection forecasts and reporting on overdue balances, aging migration, days sales outstanding, promise-to-pay performance, and dispute resolution.
• Support ERP, reporting, automation, close, audit, control, and financial transformation activities while coaching colleagues on complex collections.

Requirements

• At least five years of progressive experience in business-to-business collections, accounts receivable, or credit and collections, including ownership of complex customer portfolios.
• Demonstrated success improving collections processes and achieving measurable results.
• Strong understanding of billing, payment terms, account reconciliation, deductions, dispute management, cash application, and the invoice-to-cash process.
• Experience with an enterprise ERP or receivables platform and advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and large dataset analysis.
• Strong customer communication, negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Oracle ERP, Tableau, Power BI, or Excel Power Query.
• Experience in life sciences, healthcare, or complex business-to-business services with recurring and project-based billing.
• Experience improving decentralized or shared-services collections functions, implementing financial systems, or applying Lean methods.
