Principal Revenue Systems Accountant (Zuora)

Location: Lowell, Massachusetts, United States

Salary: $129,500–$140,000 per year, plus potential performance-based bonus and restricted stock unit awards.

What you will do

• Manage RevPro and Zuora Revenue systems, including controls, integrations, workflows, and production issue resolution.
• Support month-end activities, deferred revenue reconciliations, revenue allocation, performance obligations, and downstream reporting.
• Maintain process maps, standard operating procedures, and access-control documentation for audit and control requirements.
• Translate revenue accounting needs into technical product requirements and scalable financial process improvements.
• Create and execute test strategies, scenarios, and scripts for new applications and system enhancements.
• Support data migration, UAT readiness, cutover planning, and cross-functional implementations with Finance, Accounting, Business, and IT.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in revenue accounting and revenue systems, including ASC 606 or IFRS 15.
• Experience with order-to-cash, ERP, billing, and revenue automation platforms; Salesforce and Zuora Revenue or RevPro experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of data flows, reconciliations, internal controls, and scalable financial process design.
• Analytical, data-driven approach with technical skills such as SQL, Alteryx, or ADO preferred.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills across Finance, Accounting, IT, and business teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field; proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
