Quality Inspector A (Aerospace)

Location: Columbus, Mississippi, United States; 100% onsite. Applicants must be US Persons under the ITAR definition and have current work authorization. Travel may be required independently and at short notice for up to 15% of the year.

hirify.global Helicopters manufactures and assembles helicopters in Columbus, including UH-72A Lakota helicopters for the U.S. Army and H-125 aircraft for civil and commercial customers.

What you will do

• Perform receiving, preliminary, hidden-damage, in-process, final, dimensional, functional, and operational inspections of aircraft, components, materials, structures, and systems.
• Inspect aluminum, titanium, and steel structures, wiring harnesses, connectors, electrical terminations, paint, composites, and dynamic components for conformity and airworthiness.
• Use inspection tools, measuring and test equipment, drawings, specifications, and approved data to evaluate tolerances, fit, form, function, and serviceability.
• Identify, quarantine, document, and disposition non-conforming or suspected unapproved parts and coordinate resolution with Quality Engineers.
• Prepare and validate airworthiness, maintenance, receiving, return-to-service, and delivery documentation in accordance with FAA and EASA requirements.
• Support process audits, procedure reviews, lean improvements, departmental projects, and compliance with company policies and aviation regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Four years of quality inspection experience on aircraft components and systems, or six years as an aviation maintenance technician on aircraft components and systems.
• Current and valid FAA Airframe and Power Plant License.
• Meet 14 CFR Part 65.101 requirements and be able to obtain a repairman certificate within three months of employment.
• Ability to interpret technical and regulatory documentation, use inspection tools, and work across multiple operational areas.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English; must qualify as a US Person under ITAR.
