Airframe Sheet Metal Mechanic III (V22)

Location: MCAS New River, North Carolina, United States; must be willing to travel overseas.

What you will do

• Install aircraft sheet metal and structures according to instructions, blueprints, drawings, and customer requirements.
• Remove, inspect, repair, and reinstall aircraft parts and systems.
• Perform continuity and power checks, FOD walks, and maintenance documentation entries.
• Operate ground support equipment, including power carts, tugs, and forklifts.
• Coordinate with crew leads, technicians, customers, vendors, and other external contacts.
• Follow Department of Defense and DHS procedures, safety rules, and clean-as-you-go maintenance practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 10 years of relevant experience, including 5 years using military standards and specifications.
• Experience with aircraft structural repairs or enhancements is applicable across platforms such as UH-60, AH-64, CH-47, C-130, MC-130J, V-22, and other listed aircraft.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work in cramped, awkward, and elevated aircraft-access positions for prolonged periods.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance; drug and background screening required.
