Quality Inspector A - Contract (Aviation)

Location: Grand Prairie, Texas, United States; 100% onsite except during business travel

What you will do

• Perform receiving, in-process, final, dimensional, functional, operational, and conformity inspections of aircraft, components, structures, systems, materials, and paint.
• Inspect aluminum, titanium, and steel structures for cracks, corrosion, hidden damage, improper assembly, and conformity to approved data.
• Verify wiring harnesses, connectors, aircraft instruments, radios, navigation systems, flight controls, and related testing.
• Quarantine non-conforming parts, create non-conformance material reports, evaluate returns, and coordinate resolutions with Quality Engineers.
• Maintain inspection documentation in SAP, validate required certificates and airworthiness records, and prepare components for return to service.
• Support process audits, quality procedure reviews, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Four years of quality inspection experience on aircraft components and systems, or six years as a certificated aviation maintenance technician on aircraft components and systems.
• A&P license required.
• Must be a US Person under the ITAR definition and have current US work authorization.
• Ability to work onsite, operate inspection tools and measuring equipment, read engineering drawings, and meet the stated physical and PPE requirements.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 15%.

Nice to have

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in aviation or a related industry.
• Six years of diversified experience with hirify.global Helicopters products.
• FAA Inspection Authorization, FCC 2nd Class License, or Non-Destructive Inspection Certificate.
