Simulator Technician III (Aerospace Simulation)

Location: St Peters, United States; on-site, field, office, and laboratory assignments.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance, pre-flight and post-flight checks, visual alignments, and housekeeping on flight simulators and associated systems.
• Diagnose and correct complex hardware, software, simulator, and aircraft systems problems.
• Run and evaluate FAA Approval Test Guide and Qualification Test Guide tests.
• Support engineering teams with hardware modifications, design changes, refurbishment, and software enhancements.
• Record and track maintenance activities, manage parts logistics, and provide customer service support.
• Train technicians, support the Group Lead, complete required training, and contribute to technical services activities.

Requirements

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent related training.
• At least five years of direct simulator experience, including at least three years of relevant experience for the assigned location.
• Proficiency with test equipment and software diagnostics and utilities on at least one simulator type.
• Strong troubleshooting, in-depth analysis, and hardware modification and upgrade skills.
• Technical expertise in at least one major simulator system, such as motion, visual, or aircraft systems.
• Fluent English and knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and suite.
