What you will do
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, modify, rig, and maintain CH-47 aircraft systems and components.
- Diagnose and restore engine, APU, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, electrical, structural, landing gear, and flight-control systems.
- Perform periodic, hourly, special, and calendar inspections.
- Interpret manufacturer and airline maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, and engineering specifications.
- Repair or replace malfunctioning and damaged aircraft components.
Requirements
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
- At least 10 years of aircraft maintenance experience or 6 years of verifiable rotary-wing Army Aviation RDT&E experience.
- FAA A&P/P license or completion of a military aircraft engine repairer school for 701D/T55/250 series.
- Military or vocational training in turbine engine repair and military installation depot-level maintenance experience.
- Thorough knowledge of UH-60, 530, and CH-47 systems, including engines, APU, hydraulics, structures, and electrical systems.
Nice to have
- Engine or APU flight-line production or expediter experience.
- Experience as a UH-60, CH-47, or 530 Level II Aircraft Engine Mechanic or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Garrett, Sundstrand, and CH-47 APU systems.
