Maintenance Shop Technician A (Heavy-Duty Trucks)

What you will do

• Repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel heavy-duty trucks and refuse equipment.
• Service chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical controls, air and hydraulic braking systems, suspension, drivetrain, and steering components.
• Diagnose and repair engines, diesel fuel systems, HVAC systems, aftertreatment systems, and REGEN functions.
• Use scan tools and electronic diagnostic equipment to identify malfunctions and electrical concerns.
• Perform line maintenance, welding, and fabrication on-site and on the road.
• Complete company training programs and support drivers operating their routes.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks.
• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate strong technical expertise.
• Ability to independently inspect and repair heavy-truck or automotive systems, including suspension and steering, engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, hydraulics, drivetrain, or diesel emissions.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Preferred CDL Class B or higher.

Nice to have

• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications T1–T8.
• LNG or CNG experience.
• Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License.
