Focus on developing test procedures, troubleshooting test hardware and vehicle systems, analyzing test data, and building automation tools for safer and more repeatable testing.

Location: Los Angeles, CA; on-site

Develops advanced aircraft systems and supports rapid hardware development, integration, and flight testing.

What you will do

  • Support the planning, execution, and analysis of flight tests.
  • Develop test plans, procedures, checklists, and flight test cards.
  • Monitor telemetry, troubleshoot issues in real time, and support test decisions.
  • Review test data, identify issues, and contribute to engineering conclusions and next steps.
  • Design, build, and troubleshoot test hardware, tooling, ground support equipment, wiring, and instrumentation.
  • Support mechanical, electrical, fluid, software, and vehicle-system integration, including test automation.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a STEM program at an accredited college or university, as a third- or fourth-year undergraduate student or a Master's or Ph.D. student.
  • Hands-on experience designing, building, and testing vehicles through internships, studies, or projects.
  • Experience with CAD, C++, Python, or similar technical software.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals, understanding of first principles, and interest in flight testing and operational environments.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
  • Must meet U.S. export control requirements as a U.S. person or be otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing; GPA of 3.0 or above is required.
