Location: Long Beach, California, United States; based at hirify.global's global headquarters and working in production and test environments.

Base Salary: $83,200–$106,080 USD annually. Total Compensation, including equity: $90,150–$116,025 USD annually.

What you will do

  • Support qualification and acceptance test campaigns for satellite components, systems, and fully integrated spacecraft.
  • Help develop and maintain test infrastructure and equipment.
  • Assemble and disassemble test setups, including instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to ensure test setups meet design and safety requirements.
  • Document test procedures, results, and lessons learned.
  • Troubleshoot testing issues under the guidance of senior engineers and maintain compliance with safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field.
  • 0+ years of experience in mechanical testing, aerospace, or a related field; internship experience is acceptable.
  • Familiarity with CAD software such as NX, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems and testing principles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • For work in U.S. offices, eligibility to access technology regulated by ITAR is required, such as U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, refugee or asylum status, or the required government authorization.

Nice to have

  • Experience with data acquisition systems and instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with environmental testing, including thermal, vibration, and shock testing.
  • Experience using Python or MATLAB for data analysis.
  • Hands-on mechanical assembly or prototyping experience.
