Facilities Technician

Location: Millington, Maryland, United States; onsite work in a manufacturing facility.

Salary: $14.80–$27.50 per hour

What you will do

• Conduct facility, production-area, and safety inspections and help resolve maintenance and safety concerns.
• Support preventive maintenance, building repairs, fire and life-safety activities, and facility improvement projects.
• Assist with employee safety training, safety records, compliance activities, and corrective-action tracking.
• Monitor building conditions, identify repair needs, and coordinate with maintenance personnel and outside contractors.
• Maintain organized tools, equipment, maintenance areas, and documentation.
• Participate in continuous improvement and facility enhancement initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and basic computer skills.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, communication skills, and a safety-focused mindset.
• Ability to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment and learn safety, maintenance, and facility-management systems.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform bending, kneeling, balancing, occasional climbing, and other physical activities.
• Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 50 pounds occasionally, 30 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds consistently.
• Ability to communicate effectively, hear, and visually assess work in varying temperatures and potentially non-climate-controlled conditions.

Nice to have

• Experience in facilities, maintenance, manufacturing, construction, warehouse operations, or a related field.
